About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operator – Mattress Assembly to join our manufacturing team.

In this hands-on production role, you’ll be involved in assembling and finishing mattresses using a range of machinery, tools and production equipment. You’ll work as part of a supportive team to ensure our products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Machine Operating experience is preferred, and we’ll provide training and support to help you learn our processes and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing and mattress assembly machinery safely and efficiently
• Assemble mattress components accurately and consistently to production specifications
• Prepare materials and components for the manufacturing process
• Use hand tools and production equipment as required
• Monitor machinery and production processes and identify any issues
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality and production standards
• Identify and report defects, faults or quality issues
• Follow production instructions, work orders and standard operating procedures
• Complete job rotation and work across other production tasks within your training and competency
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
• Complete housekeeping and participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production requirements
• Follow all health, safety and PPE requirements

About You:

You may have previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, assembly, sewing, upholstery or a similar production environment—but experience is not essential.
