About the role
You will provide day-to-day electrical support to our manufacturing facilities. You will carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support specialist engineering services for plant and equipment. The role covers both routine maintenance and emergency repairs across our North Waikato and South Auckland sites, with occasional project work involving machinery installation, removal, and commissioning
Key Responsibilities include:
- Repair breakdowns of production machinery
- Troubleshoot faults, repair equipment, and improve processes
- Conduct preventive maintenance and support machine relocations and new installations
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts for production machines
- Administrative duties (work orders, downtime records, spare part orders, supplier list maintenance)
- PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Keep the workshop organised, maintain stock, and ensure cleanliness and order at all times
- Based in Ohinewai, travel to our South Auckland sites will be required
About you:
- Relevant electrical trade qualification and experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate and maintain a high standard of personal conduct to ensure compliance with all legislative / company polices are adhered to
- Intermediate computer skills essential
- You must be registered with the EWRB and hold a current practising certificate
