About the Role:
Become a valued member of our bedding production team at our Otahuhu site! Based on your experience, you’ll take on a range of hands-on responsibilities, from handling raw materials to operating the machinery and equipment used in bedding manufacturing. You’ll rotate through various work centres, including mattress assembly, sewing, quilting, bases, upholstery, packing, spring line, housekeeping, and more. We offer comprehensive training to help you develop multi-skilled expertise and work efficiently across all production areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual production tasks and operate machinery according to safety and quality standards
- Follow operational and safety procedures for all production activities
- Ensure raw materials and finished goods meet quality specifications
- Complete quality checks and maintain accurate records
- Work collaboratively to promote a safe, productive, and enjoyable workplace
- Adhere to job rotation requirements and maintain high housekeeping standards
- Report hazards, breakdowns, and non-conformances promptly
- Participate in ongoing training and OHS improvement activities
- Other duties as required by your supervisor
About you:
Successful candidates will show a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a history of reliable attendance in previous roles. You will also demonstrate:
- Ability and willingness to undertake manual handling and production tasks
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and become multi-skilled
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production (desirable but not essential)
- Forklift licence (advantageous for some positions)
