About the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing all dispatch and finished goods warehouse activities. You will lead the dispatch team and professional drivers, coordinate freight movements, and ensure orders are dispatched accurately, safely and on time.

This role plays a critical part in customer service delivery, inventory integrity and continuous improvement across logistics operations, which includes:

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coordinate and develop the dispatch and warehouse team
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Allocate labour and resources to meet daily dispatch requirements
  • Drive productivity, quality and safety performance

Dispatch & Service Delivery

  • Plan and execute efficient and cost-effective dispatch schedules
  • Coordinate freight carriers to meet DIFOT and service expectations
  • Ensure dispatch documentation, processes and system records are accurate
  • Identify and escalate any risks impacting delivery, quality or safety
  • Monitor wastage, rejects and rework, driving corrective action

Warehouse & Inventory

  • Oversee finished goods storage, picking and distribution
  • Maintain warehouse organisation, layout and housekeeping standards
  • Support stocktakes and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Ensure inventory and system records remain accurate

Safety & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead WHS compliance, safe work practices and reporting
  • Participate in audits, investigations and improvement initiatives
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement sustainable solutions

Skills and experience

We’re looking for a confident and structured logistics leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As well as:

  • Proven experience supervising dispatch, warehouse or logistics operations
  • Strong understanding of DIFOT, freight coordination and service delivery
  • Experience leading teams and driving accountability
  • Solid knowledge of WHS and safety leadership
  • Strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Confident communication skills with internal teams and freight partners
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel reporting and analysis preferred)
  • Forklift licence and logistics systems experience (desirable)
