About the Role

  • Coordinate daily despatch activities to meet targets and KPIs
  • Guide and support despatch team members to ensure workloads flow efficiently
  • Liaise with truck drivers and ensure loads are picked and loaded accurately
  • Manage the flow of finished goods from bagsealer to truck
  • Take ownership as the Container Champion – ensuring accuracy of labelling, scanning, and documentation
  • Oversee despatch administration including order processing, booking deliveries, and maintaining accurate paperwork
  • Work with our customer service, production, and transport partners to resolve delivery issues
  • Book pickups and arrange customer delivery appointments when required
  • Conduct or support stock cycle counts and resolve stock discrepancies

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will be a highly skilled communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to the organisation display the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in operations, dispatch, inwards goods, logistics, or manufacturing
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and people
  • Confident communication – able to work with internal teams, truck drivers, and customers
  • Solid computer skills (MS Office essential; ERP experience such as SAP or Syteline an advantage)
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and root cause resolution
  • Understanding of safety, quality, and compliance requirements
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
