About the Role
As the Dispatch Supervisor, you will oversee daily dispatch activities, lead a small warehouse team, and drive continuous improvement across all dispatch functions. You’ll ensure outgoing goods are picked, loaded, and delivered on time, maintain SES (Secure Export Scheme) compliance, and keep operations running smoothly through effective planning and communication.
This role also supports the wider supply chain through coordination with internal sites, transport partners, and external customers.
- Lead, supervise, and support the dispatch team to meet service levels and productivity targets
- Oversee picking, loading, and delivery processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Plan and manage outbound containers to ensure timely deliveries
- Coordinate with internal sites to maintain a smooth flow of goods
- Resolve order-related issues quickly and professionally
- Operate a Class 5 vehicle onsite to move skelly trailers as required (if licenced to do so)
- Ensure correct stock management processes are followed
- Conduct and coordinate regular cycle counts
- Lead a high-performing team consisting of a Team Leader and Dispatch Operators
Skills and experience
We’re looking for someone who brings a strong combination of operational know-how, leadership capability, and a commitment to safety and compliance. As well as:
- Class 5 Driver Licence is advantageous
- Solid experience in dispatch, inwards, or logistics, ideally with team leadership responsibilities
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/WMS systems (Syteline or D5 preferred)
- Confident problem solver with strong planning and organisational skills
- Collaborative, influential, and capable of leading and motivating a team.
