The opportunity
To provide trade qualified mechanical engineering expertise and support in a practical hands on capacity across our site in Carole Park. By using planned maintenance processes, you promote and encourage a strong safety-first culture. This is an Afternoon Shift role 12pm - 8pm however, training will be completed on day shift - 5am - 1.30pm.
- Repair breakdowns of all production machinery
- New machinery installation and commissioning
- Dismantle and re-assemble plant equipment.
- Service and replace worn parts.
- Calibrate and reset machinery.
- Complete routine and preventative maintenance tasks on all plant equipment.
- Fabrication work – welding etc.
- General maintenance work across the facility as directed by the Maintenance Manager
About you
The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude with a proven track record providing engineering support for manufacturing or industrial equipment and machinery. As well as:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and industrial machinery.
- Ability to lead and maintain compliance of quality, safety and environmental systems requirements: e.g. ISO 9000, 9001, AS4801, etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
- Trade certification or relevant degree in mechanical engineering
- 4th year apprentices encouraged to apply
