The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Sales & Design Administration Assistant to support our Sales Director and contribute to our team's success. This essential role involves managing communication with fabric mills, coordinating sample deliveries, and assisting in the creative aspects of our product offerings. Key responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with fabric mills regarding samples, pricing, and deliveries
- Maintaining, organising, and setting up the design studio for new samples, fabric reviews, and presentations
- Assisting in the creation of lookbooks and mood boards
- Communicating fabric specifications to ensure the seamless production of sample rolls
- Collaborating with product development, marketing, and other teams to support various initiatives
- Organizing sample materials and maintaining accurate inventory levels to facilitate inspiration and decision-making
- Keeping detailed spreadsheets reflecting design looks for team planning
- Helping create visually engaging lookbooks and mood boards to showcase our collections
- Developing and designing impactful PowerPoint presentations for meetings
- Assisting in planning and coordinating events for presentations and launches
- Compiling and managing data to ensure accessibility and accuracy
- Maintaining organised files and updating data in various systems
- Assisting with various administrative tasks as needed
- Following safe work procedures and participating in OHS improvement activities
- Collaborating with team members to foster a productive workplace
About You
This newly created role requires someone who is determined, creative, and able to build relationships quickly. Since your manager may often not be in the office to answer questions, the ability to seek answers in their absence will be beneficial to the effectiveness of this role. Additionally, you should possess:
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to multitask and work in a collaborative environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
